Cuba- USA Relations at a standstill
Ever since 1959 when Fidel Castro assumed power of the cuban government, relations with the United States has been at a standstill. The status between the two countries has been virtually non existant where the United States have had minimal communication with the country just south of Florida. Reasons for this political conflict between the two countries vary. The first issue mentioned in the article below is the difference on human rights violations. Cuba and the United States simply dont agree with many human rights issues considering their differences in political models. The likelihood of these countries retaining diplomatic relations is minimal and most likely will not see it get better in the near future.
